Jacqueline Doxey wedding dresses are designed and made exclusively for each bride, in the comfort of her studio in the beautiful Warwickshire countryside. Close to Leamington Spa, with easy access from Coventry and Birmingham.
Jacqueline has been making Wedding dresses since the early 1980’s, as a partner in the successful design shop Endymion Dress Designers based in Leamington Spa. Her dresses have been sold in Harrods, Liberty of London and Jenners of Edinburgh, as well as other selected outlets all over the country and Northern Ireland.
Her passion is making bespoke dresses for her brides. She delights in seeing her ideas and sketches come to life in the dresses worn by her brides. Jacqueline will sit and talk through your ideas and then produce sketches to show the designs. She will advise on the style and the choice of fabric and trimmings.
In addition, Jacqueline has a range of dresses available to try on in the studio. You can order your dress to be made to fit you from this collection. You can also have variations on the designs and choose from a range of lace and fabrics.
Jacqueline trained in Derby, studying women’s Fashion Design and Clothing Manufacture and worked as a designer for a large women’s fashion brand before starting her own couture company in Leamington Spa.
Jacqueline has worked extensively in the local area and has provided fabulous wedding dresses to many satisfied clients over the years.
The Bespoke Wedding Dress Service
The wedding dresses are bespoke. In other words, they are made to order and to fit you perfectly. This made to measure process requires a minimum of three to six months and generally consists of five fittings.
If you wish to order a Jacqueline Doxey wedding dress, a 50% deposit (non-refundable) will be required. At the first appointment Jacqueline will discuss your ideas and then send you personalised sketches with the designs on for you to look at.
At the next appointment, measurements are taken and fabric samples chosen.
Once you have agreed on your bespoke design, Jacqueline will make a calico toile of your wedding gown to try on at a fitting so that any adjustments can be easily made. It is important to wear the correct underwear at this stage and bring along your shoes.
Next is the first fitting, when your wedding dress will be cut in your chosen fabrics. Further alterations can still be made at this stage, with approximately two more fittings as required.
Your dress is then ready for collection. The balance is due on completion. The end result is a beautifully hand-made wedding gown that fits perfectly and is exclusive to you.
